I am 22 in 2 months and I am using an eye cream gel against first wrinkles. my question is, is it ok to use the cream if its noted its for those over 25, what is the real impact and what is the difference? Can it do any good or why is it bad? I suppose it contains only good things, like vitamins, so why over 25? I dont really have any signs of wrinkles, I just got it and thought if it was ok to use it instead of regular moisture cream. If I'm about 22, is anti-wrinkles eye cream for those over 25 harmful for my skin?
Many of the products you see 'for those over 25' etc. is just a marketing ploy. There are day and night creams from some companies which are supposedly different for 30's, 40's and over 50. They just charge more the older you get. It's the preservatives and many different factors that cause your skin to age and show wrinkles.
Every human has the same cell structure when it comes to our skin and age makes no difference. The aging process is determined by how you maintain the overall health of your body through nutrition; how you eat and what you expose your skin to intentionally (cosmetics/lotions/suncreen and even the cleansers you use on your face or unintentionally (pollution/stress) etc. The majority of products out there with the exception of a few have preservatives (parabens) which are chemicals to preserve the product's shelf life for at least two years. These preservatives have been found through a study in Japan (Aug 2005) to increase the aging process of our skin by 300% once you expose yourself to the ultraviolet rays of the sun. Also preservatives have been found in Breast and Colon Cancer Cells. There are products without parabens, however; you do have to do your research.
Knowing what you are placing on your skin will determine how quickly your skin will age. Limit your time in the sun; learn about preservative free products and making conscious health decisions will help prevent the war against wrinkles. If I'm about 22, is anti-wrinkles eye cream for those over 25 harmful for my skin?
What are you thinking about using?
:) Thats really cool that you want to look after your skin, I admire that. I sound ridiculous, because I am only 16, but I have always made it a promise to myself that I want to look after my skin so I dont look like a bag lady at the age of 40. I have this book called 1001 beauty secrets, and there is LOADS and pages and pages of how to use anti wrinkle creams and what types you should use etc. They say that, while your young you should do your daily regime, like you know, face wash before bed, toner, moisturize, and exfoliator and face masks one a week. And to drink tons of water. I suggest doing your nightly regime, and use a oil free anti wrinkle moisturizer, and in the morning, wash it off and use the normal, so at night your skin is soaking up the vitamins of the moisturizer and working for your skin. I personally think the earlier you start and the more you look after your skin (Sun screen, water, healthy diet etc) you will look younger for longer.
They are all a waste of money, I am 43 and have never used the creams and have no wrinkles. It's just a lottery on your genes. Don't waste your money. If you look at all those demos, the models all have saggy skin in some places. If they worked all the people using them would look fantastic and a lot different to us all.
Use a product made for your age type Arbonne intellegence eye cream is pure safe and botanical and you will love knowing that it will work and never ever use a mosturizer under your thin eye tissue, it will cause puffyness dark circles and speed up the aging process. Toxins cause this and cheap products. This product is pure safe and botanical and the highest quality products in the world and if you look at my profile it will take you to where you can get this awesome product and your welcome
most of it's all crap... just use what you're using, and maybe a sunscreen and you'll be fine.
It might be harmful I would ask a doctor just to be on the safe side
Certainly not. None of them are worth a damn. so they certainly will not do you any harm.
It's fine. I have used cream for older skin since I was 15 and I don't have any wrinkles at 37. To be honest, most skin creams don't do that much as if they went too deep into the skin they would be classed as medical products and only sold by prescription. I think it's probably best to use the products for older skin as they might have a tiny effect, as opposed to no effect with the products for younger people. I trained as a beauty therapist for three years and when I go to beauty counters they don't seem to know what they're talking about as I know what products I need but they tell me to get different.
The only thing you need to be careful about is not to get the cream in your eyes, as it can make them a bit puffy if it blocks the tear ducts. Dab it about a CM from the eye in tiny dots then massage in towards the eye. If you want to be very thorough with bags, dab it under the eyes, then tap with fingers and drain towards the lymph glands and they're by the top of the ear, so making sure you have cream on to stop the skin from dragging, after tapping, hold the finger by the nose under the eye, then move the finger outwards towards the ear and up once you get to the end of the eye. If that doesn't make sense, email me and I'll explain better.
